Here am I wearing my favorite Wallaroo hat in Florence and Rome, Italy taken June 2007. My hat definitely made the heat more bearable!
Hi! A group of five of us just participated in the MS Challenge Walk last weekend and we wore your "Victoria" hat all three days. It became our trade mark so to speak. People all along the walk (50 miles) kept shouting "love your hats". We must have given out your web site at least 100 times to various people who wanted to know where we got them.
I wanted to share some of the pictures from our walk with us in our hats and a few other people.
Next year we will be needing something new. Any good style suggestions?

I want to take this opportunity to share with you my pride at being a Wallaroo customer. Your hats were initially suggested by my dermatologist after she informed me of acute sun sensitivity with her diagnosis of Lupus. I was also recently diagnosed with cancer and had to begin a round of chemo therapy. While receiving treatment one day I overheard another patient ask about protection from the sun as chemo greatly increases sun sensitivity as well. I brought one of your catalogs into the center to share with this patient. However, the chemo nurses were so impressed with the line that they wrote to you and expressed concern for the patients who could not afford to buy special protective hats. You responded with a donation of many of your hats for those very special patients.
As I mentioned initially I am extremely proud to be a Wallaroo customer and I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your generosity. I am certain many patients at the Sands Cancer Center in Canandaigua, NY will benefit great from your donation. I have in the past recommended your line to family and friends and I will continue to do so and add this story of your generosity and compassion.
Respectfully

Team Colorado
Lenya,
Thank you your truly amazing support of Team Colorado. We raised over $153,000 for the San Diego walk and over $310,000 since we started Team Colorado in 2004.
This year was an unbelievable experience...hard to put into words. Many of my teammates have described it as a life changing experience. I spoke in front of 5000 people and I challenged everyone to form their own state teams. So far, we have Michigan, Maryland and probably Utah, California and Texas. If we get 10 teams to each raise $100,000, that is $1 million for the Breast Cancer 2007 3-Day! So far, Team Colorado already has people signed up for San Diego, Seattle and Boston.
We LOVED the Wallaroo hats! Some of us wore them during the whole 60 miles and we all wore them around camp at night so that we could be recognized as Team Colorado...and so that we could recognize all 55 of our teammates! We all wore them on the last day. They are such great hats!
I have attached some pictures from the walk. Thanks again for all of your amazing support.
Happy Holidays!
Risa
